With
patterns of motion...
Patterns were very helpful without
a doubt, in creating enough focus to build something,
a foundation, in which became a stepping stone to
refinement of every movement, the ability to step
out of the pattern and be able to see what ones movements
were in isolation and exercise use of a slower process
to examine every action, the thoughts and feelings
behind it, motivating it and ultimately questions
arose with each movement and it's significance in
telling a story, expressing an emotion, emanating
a particular energy...
Devices...
Holding onto them and not holding on to them. having
more than one, the option, a file cabinet of devices,
a tool belt... all were beneficial, and becoming aware
of something as a device was the key to entering the
process of changing it, throwing it out, etc...
Movement
stretch...
difficult at times, to feel that i was actually in
motion if i was to sustain the stretch long enough
to enter into it deeply...movement being relative.
continued awareness of moving through each stretch,
though, was an aid to not fall into the sedation that
some stretches can bring...
Rises...
i especially loved the rises. sometime using only
momentum, sometimes discovering different anchors
where "strength" was not required. it was
for me a method of letting go of muscles and moving
from the bones... a sort of zen experience, where
premeditation seemed to have no place
Conversion from being
to service...
very significant... i did in fact truly experience
the polarities as well as the conversions. where experience
of being was true immersion, service was a bit more
cerebral and analytical, like using a pair of scissors.
by not being the thing, i found i focused on the actions
rather than the emotional triggers that brought out
an immersion into being
Jogging...
good for breaking the trance, sometimes it did not
break trance, though, and other times it was a great
way to let out any residual tension, emotion, confusion,
etc. by using toning and sounds.... >even while
riding my bike i find many times when i reach the
supposed limit of exhaustion i suddenly begin toning
and i move to the next level!< :)...i found no-form
jog strange, b/c it sort of ceased to be a jog...
more of a walking meditation i suppose. non directional
and directional were helpful for me in becoming aware
of patterns and breaking them, using effort and not
using effort, creating heat or cooling down, etc.
good for comparison and making differentiations. maintenance
jog was very good for me to keep the energy going
and still move into different phases or head space/body
space... bridge the gap between worlds travelled
